Customer Reviews:
Review #1: Missed opportunity 2009-06-07 This book disappointed me. At least half the book is devoted to generic topics of setting up one's own business quite apart from anything to do with photography. Filler, from my perspective. The treatment of the legal parameters for photography was way too brief. I leaned a few things from this book but it was hardly the reference manual or comprehensive treatment of the legal aspects of photography I was expecting. This book is going to be donated to the book drive.
Review #2: Good read 2009-02-15 This book was part of a suggested reading list from school. It serves as a great resource for photographers. This book is designed for photographers. Also, just plain reading for fun is not what this book was meant for.
Review #3: Well Worth the Read 2008-08-11 I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Photography as a must have and a must read. Contents were excellent and very educational. Good information to know and have!
Review #4: very interesting 2007-12-13 very well written the author somehow keeps a very dry subject interesting and easy to read good detail ,lots of actual cases demonstrating the easy to understand discriptions of the laws involved as they pertain to photographers .of particular interest was the discusion on copyright law . also included are examples for forms such as releases , invoices and various agreements great book highly recomended to any one looking to go pro in photography
Review #5: Insightful 2007-01-09 Although no book is meant to take the place of an actual attorney when it comes to specific legal matters (as this book prefaces with a disclaimer inside the front cover), this particular book takes an in-depth look at many different legal scenarios involving still photographers. It also gives detailed references of case logs for each legal scenario presented. I found the book to be very useful at anwering questions of an ambiguis nature when it came to certain legal aspects of copyright, usage, contracts and privacy, etc. I highly recommend this book and it is something that every professional photographer such as myself, should have on thier shelf at home. |
